Efrem Tsegaye

 

Mr. Efrem is a well experienced audit associate with MSE Auditors Partnership. In 1998, he received his Bachelors in Accounting from Addis Ababa University.

While he was a student, he gained experience as a Jr. Accountant with the Addis City Roads Authority and soon after began his professional career as an Audit Trainee for A.W. Thomas L.P. in 1999.

Mr. Efrem qualified for the ACCA in 2004 and can cite several years of experience working within private organizations such as Ultimate Motors PLC. In 2007, Mr. Efrem was chosen to be the CFO of Flora Eco Power Ethiopian PLC (the local arm of a publicly traded company on a German stock exchange).

 

 

 

 

Audit Partner 

Seid Abdella

Mr. Seid Abdella, partner and long standing auditor at MSE Auditors Partnership, holds several distinctions and specializations in the professional services industry.

After receiving top marks and being second winner at the Addis Ababa University, College of Commerce, Mr. Seid went on to complete his Bachelors in Accounting with the class of 2007.

Next, he gained experience as a Jr. Clerk with Awash Bank before joining A.W. Thomas L.P. (previous name of MSE) and qualifying for the ACCA in 2008—notably with a Gold Medal distinction at the Professional Stage.

In 2010, Mr. Seid made partner with A.W. Thomas L.P. and quickly established himself as a tax specialist concerning NGO’s and all financial restitution matters. Large auditing assignments include investment firms, Zemen Bank, German interests on phase two of Gilet Gibet, and auditing work for the Desert Locust Control Organization.

Recently, his work has been appreciated by the United Nation, the World Bank, the African Union, and can boast meeting special standards for USAID. Other certifications include the IFRS and the CIA.


 

 

 

 

 

Managing Partner

Melaku Abeje

 

Prior to joining MSE Auditors Partnership, Mr. Melaku Abeje received training during an MBA program from the Edinburgh School of Business at Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom. Over the past two decades, Mr. Melaku has played an integral role in several stages of the firm’s growth and trajectory.


Currently, his primary role is to lead the firm and the growing number of accountants, auditors, and qualified staff members. His experience is found globally with programs such as the DSA implemented by the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and on expenditure/ budget advisory services to the Ministry of Finance for Ethiopia among others.
